About

This site was launched in 2005 and puts together the three items that are found in its name.  It was created out of a desire to assist the mission movement.  It falls somewhere between a professional research service such as that provided by GMI (Global Mapping International) and Yahoo Answers.

The turnaround time may not be as fast as doing a search yourself with a good internet connection, but it may save you time in collating information if you know what you are looking for and want someone to do the legwork for you.  It may be of particular use for those in places with limited internet access.

If needed, this search extends beyond a traditional search engine and may also include Technorati to search blogs, BoardTracker, to search forums and the Network for Strategic Missions Knowledgebase to search for articles.  From the experience gained so far, the best results come from requests for technical information, such as, "How can we install solar power at our mission base?", or general requests like, "We would like to establish a mission in Abuja, Nigeria, what can you tell us about it?"  Requests for funds have not yielded much fruit.

Results will be emailed back to you, so be sure to include a valid email address.  Results may include a bookmark file if the number of links warrants it.  Otherwise the results will simply be included in an email.  You may be asked for clarification of your request, please respond to these enquiries if you wish your request to proceed.  Fulfillment of a request may take a week or two depending on the depth of research required.  Please be patient, as it is a real person doing the search and not a computer.

Again, Internet Missions Research was created to assist the mission movement.  It can help a limited number of people with their internet research requirements and it is hoped that this service can save a few people time, find resources they otherwise might have missed and put the results at their fingertips.
